TORBEN KUHLMANN
lives and works in Hamburg, Germany as a freelance author and illustrator of children’s books. He studied illustration and communication design at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. He completed his studies in 2012 with the picture book Lindbergh – The Tale of a Flying Mouse, which was published shortly afterwards by NorthSouth. This soon became a bestseller, as did the Mouse Adventures of Armstrong – The Adventurous Journey of a Mouse to the Moon and Edison – The Mystery of the Missing Mouse Treasure. This trilogy of books has been translated into more than 30 different languages. The latest adventure, Einstein – The Fantastic Journey of a Mouse Through Space and Time mixes superb illustrations in watercolors and pencil with STEAM elements and takes the series into the realm of science fiction, inspired by the great authors of this genre.
